Go for the OLED version if you plan on using it mobile. If you're like me and it lives 100% of the time docked to the TV then save the money and go with the non-OLED version.

It depends on how much you value the OLED screen for handheld mode. This comes with a game and Switch online, so arguably this is a better deal.

The thing is that handheld experience in general is inferior to playing on a nice big TV at 1080p.

these have been much easier to find lately, going to have to be under retail soon to make front page.
the normal and oled versions are in stock at shopmyexchange (aafes) for military, veterans, and DoD employees. free shipping and no tax helps a lot on the price, but the mario kart bundle is OOS (I bought it last year on shopmyexchange for $249)

Id get the OLED version, esp if you plan to use it portable. The screen is AMAZING, leagues better than the original. Colors are vivid and pop. The resolution "looks better" even though its unchanged from the old one.

For people who need a flicker free screen, this is the Switch you want. I've tested both, and Switch OLED flickers like crazy! If you are sensitive to flickering like me, don't get Switch OLED.
