Anyway I'd rather buy from Amazon. At least I know I'd be getting a brand new game rather than gambling with GameStop passing off an opened one as that (a practice for which they have become notorious).

GameStop isn't going anywhere. Also, who cares about whether or not it's a good company? They have great deals. Their employees choose to work there. People applying likely already know about all the bad, too, and still choose to apply. That's not on the company. That's on the people who decide to work there. Same goes for Amazon and other shitty companies.
