No, epic store release the free game at the same time globally.
The leaker seems like know all the giveaways more than a week ago according to his post. Although he didn't write anything about the rest of the giveaways yet in his post.

It's even impacting the Epic Games Launcher too (so it's impacting everyone not just people who want to buy the game.). This is unacceptable for a service like Epic games.

Weird that Steam's servers don't get dragged down when they give away the latest $7.99 retro bitmap indie platformer everyone's had their alarm set to go grab as soon as it hit free status.

Steam had 27million users on During Thanksgiving without issues. Epic games can't even login right now.
