To each their own, but this seems absurdly expensive when the white ones were $35 and lots of colors were recently $40 each. I don't care enough to pay this much more...

Well, it's definitely worth a premium over the regular controller, but it was on sale like a regular one around BF...

Not having a time machine, some might be glad to pay this price.

On the surface I would agree with you but, like the Forza controller, there are a few little upgrades. The big one is the rubberized grip on the back of the controller. So that being said, there is a reason this one and Forza one retailed for $5 more.

I look at this as more of a collector's piece rather than just another controller. Sure, it would be nice to find one cheaper (that's always true), but I paid over retail for the 25 year anniversary dual shock and never opened it. I just got this as a Christmas gift and likely won't open it either.

I'm guessing this is similar to the forza controller. I bought an Xbox this past week and the included stock controller feels cheap and already has a sticky button. My sons forza controller I gifted him feels significantly nicer.

These controllers are a mid tier upgrade from base Series X. They have full rubber grips instead of textured plastic.
