Nice catch. The 40oz Algecide in the same brand is going for a pretty cheap price on there too. Only 12.59 vs the regular price of 30$. We stocked up last night with 6 bottles to last a year. I know some people don't use algecide regularly, but being in Florida, it's literally the only way we've been able to keep our pool algae free.

Check for phosphates at the pool store. And make sure CYA isn't too high.
I just got a hot tub, is this something I should consider buying? Still trying to learn the treatment process.
No, DE is only used inside of an enclosed filter housing where it sits on a filter membrane to then gilter the wayer through. I doubt a self contained hotub unit has a filtering setup that is using DE or sand vs a cartridge filter.
I usually buy these for $20-25. This looks like a great price. I don't go through these that fast but as long as they stay dry I'm sure they will last.
I also use this in corners and gaps in my basement to kill bugs. You can buy small bags of these in the same aisle of bug killers most places for a ton more per pound. My limited understanding is that the earth material is abrasive and can gradually kill any insect with an exoskeleton once they walk over it. I've also purchased a food safe version of these to use in my vegetable garden as a natural way to stop bugs.

This is about half the price that I usually pay for the no-name brand. Great deal. TU.

In for 4. Hopefully will not get cancelled. Was trying to stock some DE from amazon which offers couple dollars off than summer time. My understanding is this stuff will get bad even it is wet. They are easy to mash again when use it if it clumps a little. Not like rock salt when wet. But I do agree with you to use them when dry, it is easier.

every once in a while CYA level 30-50.
Try the Orenda app.

I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to just buy bulk DE filter media at the local pool store in 25 or 40lb bags. In for a few to compare.
Edit: Also picked up some algicide which seems like a decent deal too https://www.walmart.com/ip/Clorox...hbdg=L
