I have the mini bugout, with the lightweight plastic handle. love the knife. it is the perfect knife to go with dress slacks because it is so light you can slip it in your waistband, concealed inside, and never even think about it until you need it. I think total weight is like 1.75 oz (!!)

the big bugout has great reviews but if I'm going to carry a full size knife I prefer the heft and ergonomics of other classic folders.

I have carried a super light knife like that all the way into airport and casino metal screening. You completely forget it's there.

God that is a beautiful Bugout. I've been wanting my first Bugout for a while, but I did the same thing with the carbon fiber 940-1; so expensive that I feel bad carrying it as a user.

S90v and CF is tough to turn down though 😭

I just got the 945 mini Osborn $125 flash deal last week. That was my first benchmade. Now it takes every fiber in my body to resist this bugout deal. I'm sure I will get a full size bugout eventually. Deciding between the regular plastic one and this S90V and carbon fiber. Now if I can resell some of the unwanted Xmas presents for this.

Edited. No tax for CA and free shipping. I pulled the trigger. 😬

Enjoy dude! Like I said, I have these exact specs on the 940 platform and it's such a gorgeous, premium feeling knife. You'll be surprised at how light it is, and s90v is an insane steel. This is definitely THE version of the Bugout!

Anyone have experience with Knife Works? I read some questionable reviews about the company. I ask because I was looking at other Benchmade knives for a week since this coupon was posted in another thread.

In this thread: people who think they're James Bond but are actually Paul Blart.

knifeworks is legit. I have/had (200+) Benchmades and (stopped counting) Spydercos, mostly came from knifeworks. Few customs as well. I've been their customer since the money order days (yes, internet wasn't available like today); and they were one of the first pioneers of the exclusive knives - some of Benchmades, Ritter, and ESEE stuff for example.

They are a small shop, run by good people; well known to bladeforums and knife community. I'm still buying stuff from them. At least that's my experience with them.

Literally JUST ordered the "base" version of this knife. Whats the $100 difference just much better steel on the blade and better handle materials?

I tried buying this knife from knifeworks a few days ago with this same promo/price, they sent me an email saying it isn't available as it is out of stock through their supplier. Anyway, my order was cancelled. Maybe they got more?
