Otherwise it's a good deal if the peg system doesn't bother you, and you don't mind adding more for the arms.

Then you misunderstood. Wrong quote
Maybe use more than 5 words since you replying to me then me replying to you and then you replying to me etc etc is somehow the wrong comment. I explained why your suggestion wouldn't work and now you're responding like this.
Or just stop. Either way.
I'm only 5'9 and my bench fits in there fine. I haven't encountered any issues yet except I wish I could slap a dip bar on it. For the money and the space I saved, I'm good with it. It's a little clumsy, but overall, I like the setup. I like the versatility of the rogue and PRX better, but I definitely like the huge cost savings of the Ethos.
Is this still a good rack at $400? The comparable rogue recommendations don't come with stringers which are an extra $100 for a pair putting the Rogue rack at $700.
Solid rack. Screaming deal at 250 imo.

Versatility is a huge part of a power rack and having it pegged really kills that.
I don't doubt the build quality is great, but if I can only do a couple exercises, why bother with a rack to begin with?
For instance, it doesn't even look like one could buy a second set of jcups anywhere for it.
You won't be buying dip handle attachments, or plate holders, or anything beyond spotter bars either.
Bummer that they designed it so strangely.
Solid rack. Screaming deal at 250 imo.
If someone can explain a reasonable way around the peg system, maybe I'll still consider it.

I use two Olympic barbells on the spotter arms for dips. I got the Spud Inc high/low pulley system to do all things pulley related. The pull up bar is the perfect height for all that. I mounted a D Ring to the wall and the rack is the perfect depth for all the low row stuff. I also built a belt squat platform and grip strength station that I use on this rack. I also bought adjustable ring straps to suspend my barbell from the pullup bar to do jammer exercises and hammer rows. I love this setup, and it meets my needs perfectly. The belt squat platform and grip strengthener are on IG on the Kaizen DIY page if you're interested.
I opted for a space saving Titan T3 rack. It doesn't fold, but its not critical for me. With 10% 1st order discount It cost $12 more than the Ethos, but uses holes along its entire length. I didn't want to be limited down the road.
