These are lovely sounding, though you will want to have an amp on these. Great deal.
Just a heads up if you have a big head these have very tight clamping force. You get used to it/they will break in but it takes some time

I got in on these on the very first drop, very happy. Like others say, you'll want a dedicated headphone amp - I've used both an Elekit TU-8200 and the headphone section of a Harman-Kardon 430 and both drive these with ease...

I simply bend them at first use so that the clamping force is minimal on my head and so I don't have to worry about it anymore. As long as you don't bend it too much, it won't break. Did the same trick on the 10 years old hd650 and the new 6xx, worked wonderfully on both, it is super comfy I can wear them all day without any fatigue. If you wear glasses, it could be a different story though.

The new 6xx actually sound better than my old hd650, especially in the bass. It is more punchy, the hd650s's bass is kinda loose in comparison. Both with new earpads.

If you are like me and wanna ask what's the difference between the 6xx and the HD 58x. The 58x has been described as more warm and bassy while the 6xx has a more wider sound stage.

The 600 is less warm than the 6xx and sounds a tad more detailed. But as a result, it also sounds less "smooth". Source: me, I own both. I like the 6xx better, but I tend to gravitate to a smoother warmer sounding pair over cans that boost treble to sound more detailed (i.e. I stay away from all beyerdynamics treble cannons)

I have Philips Fidelio X2HR. I would prefer smooth sound less treble. Do you recommend 6XX over 600? I'm bit confused..need a confirmation..

Definitely 6xx over 600 based on your preference. Hd600 is brighter than the 6xx although not nearly as bright as beyers.

No offense but I got to say: the X2HR was the pair that sounded the dullest from all I had...Returned them the next day.
