I am also in the same dilemma. G1 has a 5 year warranty including burn-in protection. I am only concerned about the motion handling of G1 compared to the Sony. Not sure whether Sony is much superior in that regard.

How does the LG warranty compare to the one Costco offers?
Looks like the labor is not covered by LG from year 2
Might as well end up buying 3rd party warranty
Note that vrr/120 is now becoming available for Sony TVs so if gaming (with high refresh rate) is important you may want to check for reviews on those newer firmware's.

Same question here. For me its deciding between 77" A80J vs 65" A90J. My viewing distance is about 9.5ft, so I'm leaning towards bigger screen.
I'd go with the 77 A80J. A90J is better but it's not that much better to get a 65 over the 77. I have the A80J and it's phenomenal, zero complaints coming from a Plasma to this set.

I've seen and read comparison reviews likening the A90J to be about 10% better than the A80J.
