Matches the $1199.99 -$300.00 from last month. Seems to be a decent price for the specs. Reviews look good. Might have to pull the trigger...

this is the pricier of the 3 deals for this laptop (walmart one was 512gb for $50 less and lower spec'd one for $699.....) but they all went OOS pretty quickly and didn't come back in stock
for the specs and more importantly, the size and weight, this is pretty good

Screen is really good. You won't be disappointed. Unfortunately for the one I got the space bar edges did not function. Another user also said they had the same problem on a thread with the previous deal.
Build quality is meh but the screen makes up for it.
Mushy keyboard, coming from Legion 5, wanted a lightweight laptop for traveling and this had everything except the good keyboard like Legion 5 or any notebook keyboard with crisper feedback.
Display is smooth 90hz and amazing but glossy with lot og glare. Build quality and battery life is also very good.
Yup, just saw it for $899. It's real nice, but that keyboard is yucky. Am looking to replace the HP aero I just got as I'm getting some crashes and problems. I think it's specific to the Microsoft photo viewer but now sure.

it's way too early to tell but obviously if it developed something like that i'd stop buying them
have 2 old (6-7 years old?) lenovo ideapads (regular/non slim) and don't have issues the hinges. The laptops still work fine but the batteries are pretty much dead and they're really slow now
Just pulled the trigger on this. Debated getting the 9i from the Microsoft store but the 1TB SSD (vs 500GB) and Costco Warranty won the day. Would you make the same decision? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/d...00547fca5c

This laptop checks almost all the boxes for me. Compact 14" 16:10, high ppi resolution 90hz, big and smooth touchpad, nice build quality. Last of all, a glossy screen that just makes the picture so smooth and color pop. Glare can be deal with, but picture quality can't with grainy matted screen. I'm more sensitive to the grainy matted display cause then vs glare. I don't use the touch feature at all. But glass just makes the screen more durable against scratch and stuff. I wouldn't worry about the hinge, it seem to be the non-touch screen one with the plastic bezel.
I tested the hp envy 360, which had the 400 nits screen. Didn't like it due to the friction of the touchpad when you make small movements. Other one was the yoga 7i with the 500 nits screen. 500 nits seem to be almost twice as bright from a 400 nits. While 300 to 400 nits not that big. The speaker is very good as it's front facing, but it all comes down to the touchpad. The 7i touchpad is smaller and not as smooth as the 7i slim pro.
While the slim 7i pro had the best touchpad. The only issue I have is the slight rattle on the touchpad. Since I mainly use touch to click and not press, It'll rattle near the edge when I tap to click. You can open the back and unscrew the battery to get access to the touchpad. Get like a small piece of paper or tape and fold it and stuff it in between touch pad to prevent it from moving too much to prevent rattle. Play with it and see where it fits best. Don't put it near the clicker, or it'll prevent you from press down on the touch pad.
With this issue resolve. Only thing I want is a front facing speaker from this laptop. Otherwise a 500nits screen wouldn't hurt.

according to this, aside from the cpu, the following changes make the msft a better buy imo:
-500 nits screen (vs 400 nits costco)
-finger print reader (vs no fingerprint)
-black (vs greyish) body
-slightly larger battery (63.5wh vs 61wh)
-lighter weight 2.65 lb vs 3.04 lb
one major con is the msft one has all thunderbolt connectors, while the costco one has an actual usb port
i got the costco one and the glare can be an issue, another 100 nits can make it less of an issue. Also you can upgrade the storage if needed
