The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is NOT MA. I didn't realize until I had already pulled the trigger. I didn't want anyone else to get burned.
Yep! As a general rule of thumb, I only purchase 4K movies outside of Apple that are MA compatible. Only purchase and redeem HD movies from/through Apple if possible. Apple is the best place to build your library. Reason being, Apple upgrades your HD movies to 4K if available or if remastered in the future. 4K movies purchased outside of Apple that are MA compatible transfer to Apple in 4K. It's the best way right now to try and build a 4K library.
Gattacca is so good and a glimpse of where our near future might be.

A few more 4k titles were added to amazon overnight like "Back to the Future - Part III", "Alien", and "Tangled" (for those that dont have disney+ or would want to have their own copy).

Stripes extended cut is also $4.99. Unfortunately not 4k but has a lot more nudity

Thanks to Stripes, I've been a porn addict for 30+ years. Lol 🤦🏼 ♂️

RAN - the 4K version is supposed to be phenomenal and the original upscaled/washed out StudioCanal Bluray is a ripoff, the Criterion Collection DVD has a better picture, but from the Amazon listing:
Quote :
Subtitles None available
Audio languages 日本語
Sort of a dealbreaker for me, saw it in 1985 when it came out. I've seen it enough times now it's embarrassing but I cannot remember if it was subtitled in the original movie theater release. I just remember how stunning the cinematography was.

RAN (UK IMPORT) (4K UHD REVIEW)

...Unfortunately, there's no sign that Lionsgate intends to release the film on physical 4K UHD here in the States, though they have made the 4K presentation available digitally. But you should know that the image quality of the physical disc is notably superior to the digital offering. If Lionsgate should decide to release Ran on physical 4K UHD here in the States, it's our hope that they'll consider commissioning a proper new English subtitle translation of the original Japanese dialogue. Until then, if you don't mind importing it and you have an All-Region player, this 4K release is certainly recommended.

The review also indicates the added content on the UK physical disc is phenomenal.

The Back to the Future Trilogy is $14.99 on Amazon and iTunes/Apple TV.
If bought individually though, Part II seems to still be listed at full price.

I just got it off of amazon and it was 4k plus when it synced to movies anywhere it was 4k and had the theatrical release as a bonus video.

iTunes version is 4k with subtitles plus some extras like the AK documentary (but maybe not all). I think that is the Lionsgate digital 4k release.
