Totally agree. Their dealer stores rip you off with too many taxes, fees, unwanted device protection plans etc, and the moment anybody park near their corporate store, immediately the store security comes on to check you up and he will be standing behind you until you leave the store and their store workers are not friendly at all with take it or leave attitude. Metro's whole store experience makes you look like a thief and unwelcoming.
Probably had a lot of thefts from their stores if they do that.

Is this better than ATT Prepaid assuming just on data speed?
My att is kind of spotty or slow in certain areas so how well does Metro do?
I just ran a speedtest on my Oneplus nord 5g and I'm getting around 418-467Mbps down and 33-37Mbps up on 5g. Much faster than my home internet.

Metro still makes you contact them and pay a fee whenever you switch phones. They lock your sim to whatever phone you activate on their network.

If you're in a household and one of you is 55 or older then you might as well get a real T-Mobile 55+ Magenta plan, which start at $70 but include Netflix and their T-Mobile Tuesdays offers, which if you use even half of them save you at least $10/mo, so it comes out to around the same, but with better cell service and tons of stores.

So much misinformation lol.

My family has been using Metro for about 4-5 years. 4 unlimited everything lines, plus hotspot for all, plus free Amazon Prime -- $120 per month. ($30 per user) Also includes the "T-Mobile Tuesday" deals now.

Uses T-Mobile 5g network (You can use T-mobile branded phones) and we've had superb coverage without a single dropped call that I know of. The stores aren't that awful to deal with (Unless I guess if you live in a crappy neighborhood) but even then you likely only have to deal with them once, and I consider their phone customer support "above average". I initially took their free phones but upgraded myself twice and my wife once when we found some slick slickdeals on cell phones. My daughter opted to pay to upgrade hers to an Iphone, while my mother is still using the phone we initially got free for her. Phone change is free if you do it online. They do charge an activation fee when you first sign on if I remember correctly.

The hotspot is an extra $20 per month, but you get Amazon Prime with it - so it's only about $7 per month if you're a Prime user since that's $13 per month alone.

My bill was $100 per month for four unlimited everything lines until I upgraded to the hotpot/Prime option

Most Metro stores are operated by scam artist. They would try everything to charge you fee.
If you have issue with the plan, good luck go back to fight with them.

Not true if you sign into the website and do the phone change yourself.

Not the case for me last August. I bought a Pixel 2, went on the website, changed what I needed to, took the SIM card out of my Stylus and put it in the Pixel. Worked perfectly with no charge and no contacting.
