The price seems to be good but I'm stuck with 1year ATT prepaid which I paid $300/yr for 8gb data. Anyway to lock this price or is this plan gonna be permanent?
That AT&T price sucks. They are price gouging.

Have you considered threatening to move to another cellular service to receive a counteroffer?

If I were in your shoes, I will find an offer from Mint/Visible/Metro/anyone else that gives me a better deal, then call AT&T and ask for my AT&T account and pin because I wish to switch to another service provider which is offering xyz at abc/month. In such a situation, many customer service reps are trained to offer a retention counteroffer. It may not be equal to what another provider offers, but it may be much better than what you currently get from AT&T

Visible offers this same price for the same amount of service on the Verizon network via Party pay, (easy to join a party via the Reddit visiblepartypay sub), hotspot included, just FYI.

You can still tether to PC if you use PDANet and the FoxFi key. Usb tether but works great. Just make sure you hide your packets so TMobile doesn't ban you.

Not true. My friend said it was $25 at the store including the physical SIM card, and no pesky upwelling from the store employee.
It should be ymmv i have around 5 stores in my town the one by my local Walmart the owner of the store is always there and is hovering employees when they do sign ups the other stores aren't like that but in the past i have dealt with them trying to add protection plans or saying that if i buy the phone i must buy 3 phone accessories or before when they would put it in the fine print i had to get their 70$ plan when in reality i could get their 40.

You get that on Visible? Not sure if you're implying that was good or bad but I'm on Mint Mobile and I don't get any restricted speeds unless there is tower congestion. I get 300-400mbps on 5g in some areas.
But are you paying $25 a month for unlimited?

Totally agree. Their dealer stores rip you off with too many taxes, fees, unwanted device protection plans etc, and the moment anybody park near their corporate store, immediately the store security comes on to check you up and he will be standing behind you until you leave the store and their store workers are not friendly at all with take it or leave attitude. Metro's whole store experience makes you look like a thief and unwelcoming.

Exactly why I am on visible now. $25 for unlimited and hot spot included.
Exactly. With no hotspot on this Metro deal, Visible is much better for the same $25. and no contract.

Is this better than ATT Prepaid assuming just on data speed?
My att is kind of spotty or slow in certain areas so how well does Metro do?
Never

Looks like Metro is the new sprint. Sprint used to have such a plan with no tethering.

Aren't you deprioritized with Visible? Versus this where you're more directly on the t-mobile network? Sorry, newbie here when it comes to these plans.

You're wrong, I think you make bad assumptions, nobody lives there and if one needs to go to the corporate Metro store, then this is the nearest one and fyi.. within quarter mile of this store there is a Mall, all major Banks, Movie theater, restaurants like Olive Garden, and within one mile many Auto dealerships Walmart and many business establishments. Next corporate Metro store is more than 30 miles away from this store.
That's the kind of pathetic customer service given at this corporate Metro stores.

What's the Data cap on the Visible's $25 plan?

Isn't there a phone or two that there is no way to disable tethering?
