these used to be $100 on sale. toner still cheap though, can find it for $4 sometimes.

Toner for the new Brother printers require the chip in them so even the generic ones run a tad bit more expensive than the toners for 2740 series printer but still a great printer with very low cost of operation. Best part about the printer is duplex printing and duplex scanning using the feeder i.e. you can scan 20 pages without having to flip the pages - something found only in high end models.

Yes that is the BEST part about this printer it has a Duplex and ADF and SINGLE PASS.

Yes it is rare even now. So at $270 for now during COVID I think it is a GREAT price.

I bought this printer years ago for around 100. It's been a work horse for sure. Scanned in thousands of pages with the automatic feeder with duplex is a feature I can never go with out. Cheap toner is the icing on the cake

One Word STINKING COVID. I been looking for a AIO laser printer since March because my Canon D480 broken. Since March I haven't find any printers at all. Now I just found one. I was going to buy a color AIO because it is too expensive like $400-$500 and up. During these hard times with COVID who can afford these kind of prices. I miss the good old days Pre-covid where things were affordable.

Good luck waiting for a color all in one sale. I have been waiting since March 2021 since my Canon broke. There is a refurbished but I don't you a refurbished one. Since I have no printer at all I just bought a B&W to use for now.

Does this have full support for Mac? I have a Dell version of this from a few years ago, and Dell doesn't have the software available for Mac OS so I can't scan and have very limited printing options. I have to use my windows PC when I need to scan anything.

Oh Dell has a version of this? What the model of the Dell because I want to compare with the Brother I just bough.

I got the 2540DW for $80 and thought that was a good deal. Similar MFC but only duplex printing but not scanning. I would have paid the extra for duplex scanning.
