A 300nits (minimum) matte panel would be usable outside. But for a glossy or glary panel, you'd probably need a 400nits screen at least.
Does anyone have any experience with Lenovo returns? Haven't looked into it much just yet but curious how long one has and how painful that may or may not be.
So according to that, this should have a matte screen as another member has also confirmed above.

I mentally set my new laptop requirement...
Screen above 1920x1200
16GB DDR4x
512GB NVMe SSD
Non-touch screen
...for under $600. Getting real close

I had to return a ThinkBook a couple of months back due to loud fan noise and it didn't take too long to get the credit. They sent a return label and I used the same box it came in, to ship out. Surprisingly, Lenovo Rewards still applied even after return and that worked in my favor.
