To those buying this disc to rip for Plex, etc, you will need to watch the remux in HDR and not Dolby Vision. The DV full enhancement layer on this disc was authored in a weird way and the RPU (dynamic brightness) was used in part to correct the brightness fluctuation in the EL. Although Plex on Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 can display DV in MKV, it will disregard the EL in DV 7 FEL MKV and use the RPU only. As suggested above, applying the RPU on this disc without the EL will result in brightness fluctuation in the video.
The sound on Omaha Beach is menacing.
Then again when they encounter a tank. So many details were recorded for this film. Really makes you appreciate the extra work.

I would agree this is one of the few movies that received a worthy transfer to be called reference!
It's especially impressive on the audio side since the BD was reference!
If you have a proper object based setup this is one of the few movies that will showcase channel based vs object based soundtracks!
