The Wen, HF Bauer[harborfreight.com] and Grizzly are all the same tool. The Grizzly was $195 until a day or two ago, while there is a HF coupon.... Maybe not a 'slickdeal,' this is a decent price at a 12% discount delivered.
The Ridgid, with more power, might be an even better deal when on sale with their LSA. There were two models, but maybe Direct Tools will have a deal on one of them.

Where was the Grizzly $195? It was $249 on sale on Grizzly's website, and I pulled the trigger on a one-day sale when it dropped to $199 (and used a 5% coupon, of course). I have to admit, though, that I was a little miffed when I realized that Woodstock (parent Co of Grizzly and Shop Fox) cheaps out on their benchtop machines. I'll bet they share a bunch of spec benchtop machines with HF.
BTW it looks like the Triton is the same model as well. I guess the thing to do is weigh which one comes with the best warranty and service.

$195 or $199, we are close. For the $195 net from $245 list, Grizzly sent me a $50 off coupon for $200, that I presumed everyone received. I also saw a $40 off on site, etc. Trouble is, everything I was interested in was a much higher retail that produced a lower percentage discount and passed.
Personally, I compare the amps draw and hp rating --- whereas, the amp draw is not always a perfect comparison when more efficient motors are used. Nevertheless, the rated horsepower 'might' be a good indicator and for that, the Ridgid is by far the winner.
I say "might" because of creative marketing. As an example, Sun Joe came out with rating their pressure washers with 'initial burst' psi that is much more than the running psi that so far, everyone else uses. An electric motor will draw more amps under full load and if using Amps to HP ratio, will give a higher HP rating on paper. Who knows, as you might tear all of these down and they are all the same inside as they are on the outside.
And of course, there is the warranty. Being mostly plastic and a bit under-powered for at least the belt sanding part, these are for the hobbyist and rather easy to abuse. Besides supporting the local economy, I do prefer to buy from a local box store for easy returns beyond the time frame of online sellers. The Ridgid is 5 years from seemingly anyone, but their LSA does make a difference with a Home Depot around the corner.
