I'm sure this is going to get a bunch of thumbs down even though I haven't been able to find it posted on SD before. But the people who get it will appreciate it.
Best Buy has a free promo you can "buy" for three free months of Apple TV+ here: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/appl.../6484512.p
It will require you to enter payment info to check out even though it is a free item. You probably will not get an email confirmation even though the order status says that an email with activation info was sent. A lot of people have reported this in various places on the internet (which I discovered after I didn't get an email).
I contacted BBY via chat and they gave me an activation code. Then Iogged in at tv.apple.com and somewhere in the account settings I found a place to enter a promo code. Sorry I can't tell you exactly where at this point. It accepted the activation code and stacked it onto a free seven day trial so I get 3 months plus a week. It will renew at $4.99 per month unless you cancel.

I've had it for free for a year, and I think I watched one mediocre movie on it.. and tried Foundation which I thought was very disappointing.
Still, free is free, so can't knock the deal. But beats me who pays for this as there really is very little worth watching.
