I've had this for 10 years. And have used it atleast 10 times.
Replaced: axle
Replaced: wheel bearing twice
Replaced: Front ball joints
Replaced: all struts and shock
Replaced: transmission
And other stuff I can't think of off hand

It's really not bad when you replace parts yourself. Just go there tell them you Replaced parts and just want an alignment. I have never been upsold or told I need something.

Just FYI, there are several $50 4-wheel alignment offers in Groupon in my area from various shops. I suppose if you plan to keep your car 10+ years, and have conditions where you need alignments a lot (bad roads, if you track your car, etc), this could be a good deal.

On alignments alone I've spent much less than I would have if I were to go elsewhere without the lifetime alignment service. I use Firestone primarily only for the alignments. Sometimes I've also had a state inspection performed at Firestone but those are the same price everywhere (in Texas).

Most of locations I've used for alignments in the greater Houston metro area have not been pushy with upsells but I understand what you mean regarding parts. I just acknowledge the information as-is and request that they provide me with a printed quote for any additional parts or labor and then go on my way -- I've never been forced to buy parts nor pay for any unexpected labor. I experienced just once location push harder for replacement parts but that also happened to be on an older vehicle that I was already planning to source parts and labor for separately from alignments.

Hit or miss on decent service depending on which location you go to. I've been turned away by one and another aligned my vehicle no problem.

Note that they won't align newer F150s, at least in my area.

Had it on my 2008 Accord, 2013 Accord, and 2018 Ridgeline. Alignment with every tires rotation, 5000 miles, which also free since I buy tires from them as well, always price matched of course. Over the life span of average vehicle ownership of 5 years for me, I use the free rotation and free alignment about twice a year. 10 alignments with this deal cost me $150. Of the 3 locations I have visited, they have never pushed for replacement parts or suggest random repair requirements. I walk in, tell them I need a rotation and alignment, chill on their couch for 1-2 hours, sign off the paper work and drive home.

Yeah. They made an "alignment" on my car and many miles later, the tire tread has been way uneven. $2,000 later with up charge and all other recommended repairs, that's what it will take to truly fix the issue. Bad tie rods and such apparently. Yeah...

Make sure they just did the work as they claimed. I had lifetime alignment as well at pepboys, when i send the car for service after installation of new set of tire, waited for 3 hours in the early morning, they just moved and parked my car to another spot. I knew that cause there is NO SINGLE finger print on the SUPER DIRTY WHEEL. when I asked for the alignment result, they said printer is not working! : ( perfect reason!

Lots of thread crapping, but just two alignments for most vehicles more than covers the lifetime alignment contract cost. Then just ignore most of their repair advice, or at least get a second opinion before doing the work, optionally, at another shop.

I got this a few years ago and i havent had a problem with firestone. Reading some of the comments here I guess it really depends on the store.

On another note, is there such a thing as a lifetime rotation package similar to this?

I've had this for 5 years and always had positive experiences (aside from some longer than expected wait time, but they usually offer a discount for the trouble) at my local Firestone. They usually have recommendations on services/parts, but I usually say no, and they are never pushy.

I'm definitely getting value from this service.
