Entirely different type of RAM. I have 8 gig on my work machine and never had an issue (though I'd get 16 for home)

Bought the 16GB/1TB the day it became available, haven't had a second of regret thus far. The RAM can't be upgraded, so 16GB is the meaningful decision in the long run. The SSD can be beefed up with plenty of external NVMe solutions that work without having to sacrifice on performance vs. the very fast built in chips. Those are the facts. Everything else is opinion.
