Hello, do you mind explaining how to control the snails? I don't know what to do with them. Thanks.
Theoretically yes… you have 2 have an aquascaped perfectly balanced established tank… that circulates it's water to another aquaponics growing tank and pumps it back up to your fish tank
Grab out the egg sac and throw it away or give to someone when you see it

Just ask any (well, mine, at least) 8 year old helper how wonderfully do these thing scratch the ***** out of your tank, when not used carefully or properly.
I can't blame the kid, but if like him you happen to pick up a speck of gravel/sand/etc between the pad and the glass from the bottom of the tank, you also will know the "joy" of wonderful scratch lines across your front glass!
Agreed on everything else stated by others above; learn to run your tank "perfectly" (easy peasy, right?), and after you give up fighting snails and just let them do their job, watch the tank take care of itself.
Good price, but remember, matches are also free at the local convenience store, yet it only takes a few seconds to burn your house down to the ground.

If you build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a day, but if you set a man on fire he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

So true. One side of my 75 gallon had several long scratches on the front. Finally realized my kids' friends were being "helpful" by cleaning the tank. They must have had a snail shell caught between the magnets. Always had to stash the magnets after that, and the kids would ask where they were. Lesson learned. Hide this if you have kids!
