It's $19.99 at Walmart this isn't so much a deal, I nearly purchased this thinking it was a value, nope. To be honest in this day and age with polymer technologies there should be a functioning one of these things that runs on a can of butane or similar. Use a power adapter to power the ignition system, starter, and a dry sump oiling system. Would be rather simple to make, probably better if they simply made a single cylinder flathead like a pushmower engine concept. I think kids would really love that. I've seen youtube videos of a mower engine with an acrylic head for a demo, cool to watch.

Ship to store for pickup is free. In for one, thanks OP. There are other sets on sale, too.

My son got this last year. Don't expect good quality. One of the pieces was wrong so the exhaust did not fit. Also parts allign poorly so it took some adjustments to get the parts to move somewhat freely.

I'd like to see this too. I have a daughter and son who eagerly absorb every assembly project I throw at them.

Probably would give cancer to Californians, but the rest of us might be OK teaching our kids with an engine that really runs.

I remember there being a V8 kit similar to this (co-branded by Haynes manuals?) in the early 90's?

They must be launching an electric motor kit and clearing these out since the future is electrification... 🤣

Use this in my Honda, not bad for power but gets crap for gas mileage.
