Well worth $10 in my opinion.
edited to add: strangely, the app as installed via steam is called "display fusion pro on Steam" but you don't need to have steam running in order to run the app. My steam is closed now, and display fusion pro is running. I guess I can't say definitively whether you just need it for installation, or whether you need it during launch, but you certainly don't need steam open.

If you need windows splitting, virutal display manager($35) is the only option so far. Nvideo driver also has the same feature, but only for nvideo cards.
I use this app and combine it with using VR virtual desktop, this combination makes for a ridiculously information dense interface, which is incredibly useful for most of my computer hobbies. Programming, digital artwork, 3D modeling, CAD, photography and photogrammetry, video editing, VM and server monitoring / maintenance. This has been especially true for VM work because I can have a dedicated 'screen' or sub-screen for each system, and the same for remote desktop to other PCS.
A lot of people might not see any huge benefit by running an app like this, but for me it's been very useful in the windows environment.
By having everything just there and available I've a noticed that I rarely waste any time anymore waiting for things to load up, compile or batch processes to complete. If something's busy I can just switch over to another desktop view and still stay productive while being able to monitor everything else with a glance.
If anybody finds a better program, let me know. 👍
My point is that you have to test it in your network to see if it works or not, considering steam has free returns if you used it for less than 2 hours, so you can try and get a refund if it is blocked.
