In the past, I've taken the Menards bag to Home Depot and they've matched the discount (like they do with the 11% rebates). YMMV, but might be worth a shot.

Yea, read their fine print. HD excludes a ton of items from their match and no further discounts/sales (can't stack). Literally 1306 pages of exclusions. Worth something, for sure, but don't drive past a Menard's seeking out HD for this deal, and HD only offers their limited rebate match in areas where they have competition from a Menards.

I always buy a couple pair of these snips - excellent for cutting just about anything and the blades stay sharp. 29.97 before 15% off is a great deal and these will last for years

The exclusion list for the rebate (not necessarily the bag sale) might be long, but its mostly variations of similar things. I've never bought an item that was excluded, but it might be worth checking the types of things on that list before making a big purchase and counting on the 11% rebate, if/when it comes around again.

And of course you need to be in area with Menards stores for Home Depot to match the bag sale, after all, that's where you go to get the bag.

HD only offers the rebate where they compete with Menards (sorry, Dallas). Sure, shop HD with fingers crossed or eye's crossed from looking at the exclusion list (and no stacking sales!) or just go to Menard's with zero exclusions. And, HD expires in a year, Menards never. And, buy a tool at HD and see what happens when you return it if it's been purchased with a store credit....

Our experiences with the rebates differ greatly, but the intent of my posting in this thread is to alert people that they might be able to get 15% off their purchases at Home Depot if they bring in a Menards bag. When I've done it in past years (this is a yearly sale), they took the discount off right at the register with zero rebate confusion.

I can't guarantee the same result for everyone, but there's no harm in asking.

They have it online always fyi but they will not let you submit anything on sale. So check out twice. Sale priced stuff and not.https://www.homedepotrebates11percent.com/#/home. Looks like they stop ot when menards stopped thier 11 percent. We spent like 4500 and they refused our 11 percent. Our items weren't on the exclusion list they said they were on sale after we got our confirmation email that we're getting our 460.00 rebate. They refused it. My husband was so so mad.
