Yeah. But to be fair, most of those are ingredients in those little candy pieces from the cosmic brownies.

Appreciate the deal but this is not whey isolate. It has isolate in it but it also contains whey concentrate.

It always boggles my mind how much of this crap is still on the market. Considering how many people workout primarily (or at least partially) to be healthier, it's surprising how unaware many people are of how unhealthy the things they consume are.

I saw the ingredient list in your first post, I thought much of this crap was supposed to be going away but apparently not, or not yet. This stuff is definitely a pass for me.

And a good portion of those people are taking supplements with doses of stuff they have no clue about in way higher doses.I don't see the point fretting over single serving doses of processed foods.

Technically the only thing on that list being banned is Red 3. Manufactures have until January of next year to remove it from their recipes. The rest, most of the processed food manufacturers made a promise to remove them from their products, but it's not mandatory. Ryze is a privately owned company not owned by any of the conglomerates that "promised" to remove them, so they have no obligation to do so. That said, I imagine they'll loose a good bit of market share if they don't remove them now that there's more public awareness on the harms of the petroleum based dyes.

You guys cry about "chemicals" but then ingest ultra-processed whey. If you are using whey, don't expect 100% all natural ingredients. Eat chicken breast if you want natural protein.

Not that this is a good product, but it's amazing to me how many people dont ever look at the studies that are cited when claiming these things are harmful. The vast majority have limited evidence of being harmful to humans with most being extremely high levels given to rodents.

• Hydrogenated palm kernel oil — ⚠️ Depends. If it's partially hydrogenated, the concern is well established because industrial trans fats increase LDL, decrease HDL, and increase coronary heart disease risk. If it's fully hydrogenated, it contains very little trans fat and the situation is different (Mozaffarian et al., NEJM, 2006; Mensink et al., PLoS Med, 2003).
• Titanium dioxide — ⚠️ Legitimate toxicological concern, but human harm isn't established. EFSA concluded that genotoxicity could not be ruled out and therefore could no longer establish a safe ADI. That's a regulatory toxicology conclusion—not evidence that eating normal amounts causes cancer or other disease in humans (EFSA Panel on Food Additives, EFSA Journal, 2021; Bettini et al., Scientific Reports, 2017).
• Carnauba wax — 🟢 No convincing evidence of harm in humans at food-use levels. Human toxicity evidence is essentially absent.
• Blue 2 Lake — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human harm at permitted exposure.
• Yellow 5 Lake — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human toxicity at permitted exposure. There are occasional reports of hypersensitivity reactions, but these are uncommon and don't establish general toxicity (Stevenson et al., Archives of Disease in Childhood, 2007).
• Red 40 Lake — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human toxicity at permitted exposure.
• Blue 1 Lake — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human toxicity at permitted exposure.
• Red 3 — ⚠️ Strong animal evidence, but not demonstrated in humans. Red 3 causes thyroid tumors in male rats at high doses through a mechanism involving thyroid hormone disruption. FDA subsequently revoked its authorization, while noting that the available evidence does not establish that Red 3 causes cancer in humans (Tsuda et al., Toxicological Sciences, 2001; FDA, 2025).
• Yellow 6 Lake — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human toxicity at permitted exposure.
• Red 40 — 🟢 No convincing evidence of human toxicity at permitted exposure. There are some studies investigating behavioral effects of artificial colors in children, but they don't establish that Red 40 itself causes disease in the general population (McCann et al., The Lancet, 2007).
• Carrageenan — 🟡 Controversial, but strong human evidence of harm is lacking. Much of the scary literature involves degraded carrageenan/poligeenan or concentrations/exposure routes that don't correspond well to normal food consumption. Human evidence hasn't established that food-grade carrageenan causes intestinal inflammation or cancer at normal dietary exposure (Weiner, Critical Reviews in Toxicology, 2014).
• Sucralose — 🟢 No established human harm at currently permitted exposure. There are newer mechanistic/animal studies raising questions about chronic exposure, but that isn't equivalent to demonstrated human toxicity (Grotz & Munro, Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology, 2009).
• Acesulfame potassium — 🟢 No established human harm at permitted exposure. Long-term toxicology studies have not established carcinogenicity or other clinically significant toxicity at relevant exposure levels (Renwick, Food and Chemical Toxicology, 1986).
