Gonna go against the grain here but my experience with this mug was terrible. The mug would only connect if I repaired it every single time I wanted to use it.I have an Android phone and from what I have read from reviews it plays nicely with Apple not so much with Android, which was my case. The battery life sucked. If I just left the phone on I would watch the battery drop 5-10% in five minutes time not doing anything. I tried putting half cup of lukewarm water in it and heating it up to 145 degrees . It couldn't do it. It stayed around 110 for over 30 minutes and the battery dropped over 50% during that time. Contacted customer support. They told me to pour something in that was 165 degrees and see if that works. Well yeah. It's gonna seem like it works because I am putting something in that is 20 degrees hotter. I did it. Still didn't work. The worst part is I sent 3 different emails back and they ignored every one. They don't have phone support either.. I probably would give another one a crack, but after they ignored me and I spent $100+ on a coffee mug, I'm done. Returned it. Sucks too because I really wanted this to work. Just my experience.

Isn't it cheaper to make another cup or use one of the cheaper heaters, $100 after tax price seems ridiculous to me.

Bought one for the wife for Christmas and just ordered this for myself. It's completely unnecessary and a frivolous bougie expense.

However, it works perfectly and is incredible.

Did have some issues updating the firmware (for a coffee mug..
I know) but got it to work eventually by hitting the power button on the mug when it hangs at 50% trying to reconnect.

🤷

Clearly they're selling well enough not to have to reduce the price…
But this is reduced no? Down $10. I'd love to pick a few up to give as gifts but just can't afford it at this price point either :/

+1 on the "bought one for my wife for Christmas and she loves it". I actually got the 14oz from Costco and then decided it was too much bigger than our normal mugs (which, it turns out, are 10 oz) so I ordered the 10oz one in black from Ember. Aside from the fact that it arrived after Christmas, it has been a home run. Someone at work said that every mother should have one, because moms are always interrupted and never get to drink their coffee hot.

There is a bit of cognitive dissonance that arises from expecting your coffee to have cooled down as usual and need microwaving, but yet it is perfectly hot.

$90 to keep your coffee warm? How about just pop your coffee cup in the microwave for 30 seconds for free?
You mean what everyone has done for years up until this mug came about? I'm pretty sure the buyers of this mug are familiar with your method...lol.

I just got this mug. Paired with my Pixel 6 great. It has stayed connected the whole time. The mug does not heat liquid, I mean it will if it is over around 120 degrees Fahrenheit, but that's not what it is meant for. It's meant to just keep the liquid a constant temperature. Heating the liquid from 120 to 135 really sucks the battery down. Anyway I also had some battery issues. It was draining the battery semi quickly while in sleep mode, cup was empty off the charger. Support was very nice, they have not responded over new years but that's okay. This is what she told me and it fixed my issue. To reset the mug, please hold the power button on the bottom of the mug for about 14 seconds until you see the LED flash red. At this point, please let go and allow the mug to pulse back to white.

Overall it's awesome to drink my tea hot at 135 degrees for the whole cup. The battery life is not spectacular. If you are going to not use the charger while you drink, you might not make it through the second cup. I keep mine on the charger the whole time. One thing that sucks in the charger has two pins that touch the bottom of the cup, so don't get any liquid in the coaster. Hopefully the next version will have induction charging.

I use these tumblers and although they do work, they don't keep hot drinks hot for over 25 minutes.

I know it unnecessary to say it but hopefully you can agree that the pixel phone is awesome! I love my 4a! One of the best budgeted midrange phone to date

It's also cheaper if we don't browse SD and doesn't buy another unnecessary stuff such as that grill that was 70% off.

But in all seriousness... I got an Ion mug when they were going for around 27 bucks for my coffee, but now my wife absolutely loves the mug because it keeps the tea at perfect temperature for hours. Now we are waiting for it to goes on sale again so we can get another one.

I also agree that Ember is indeed way too expensive; when it gets to around 50 I might get one. 90 is still way too expensive when ion mug does the same thing for less than half the price, and it also has a lid!

A $20 insulated mug (I have a Thermos brand that I use daily) that will keep your coffee hot for hours and seals air-tight for travel seems like both the more practical and economic option. This reminds me of the ridiculous products you'd see in Sharper Image or Skymall catalogs and think "Huh, that's cool, but I'd never buy it."

Break even point is only at about 800 cups of coffee.

If people don't spend on this kind of cup or other over priced non-essential items, how can credit card companies make money? How can avg. American households owe more than $5,000 on Credit Cards.
