Gonna go against the grain here but my experience with this mug was terrible. The mug would only connect if I repaired it every single time I wanted to use it.I have an Android phone and from what I have read from reviews it plays nicely with Apple not so much with Android, which was my case. The battery life sucked. If I just left the phone on I would watch the battery drop 5-10% in five minutes time not doing anything. I tried putting half cup of lukewarm water in it and heating it up to 145 degrees . It couldn't do it. It stayed around 110 for over 30 minutes and the battery dropped over 50% during that time. Contacted customer support. They told me to pour something in that was 165 degrees and see if that works. Well yeah. It's gonna seem like it works because I am putting something in that is 20 degrees hotter. I did it. Still didn't work. The worst part is I sent 3 different emails back and they ignored every one. They don't have phone support either.. I probably would give another one a crack, but after they ignored me and I spent $100+ on a coffee mug, I'm done. Returned it. Sucks too because I really wanted this to work. Just my experience.

Isn't it cheaper to make another cup or use one of the cheaper heaters, $100 after tax price seems ridiculous to me.

Bought one for the wife for Christmas and just ordered this for myself. It's completely unnecessary and a frivolous bougie expense.

However, it works perfectly and is incredible.

Did have some issues updating the firmware (for a coffee mug..
I know) but got it to work eventually by hitting the power button on the mug when it hangs at 50% trying to reconnect.

🤷

This kind of mug has to be priced lower than $49.99, sane people would consider buying it.
It should be $30.

Is Costco back to offering periodic $50/500 online coupons?
Are we fortunetellers?

Yeah what location? I called a few warehouses in the DFW area and it's the same price as online ($89.99)
How are you price checking over the phone? My experience has been they won't give out prices over the phone.

It would be great if it came with a subscription model that analyzes how quickly one drinks coffee and sync it to Apple Fit or Google Fit.

Walmart sells this for $40

ionMug & Charging Coaster - 12oz Stainless Steel Mug & Lid https://www.walmart.com/ip/624515878
The reviews for that Ion are awful. If I was in the market, the Costco warranty would be enticing. I'm still on the fence.

Why not have the nanny microwave your mug? When my Lamborghini gets cold I have my nanny drive it around the block a few times before getting in.
Your Lambo doesn't have pre heat option in the mobile app? I just have my butler pre heat my Bentley via the app before getting in.

As a slow coffee drinker and someone who would never dare microwave a cup of coffee, I would love one of these. I'll keep an eye on it and if it drops to a more reasonable price I will be getting one.

I will admit that the first time I saw it I thought it was ridiculous and unnecessary.

You letting your nanny add miles to your garage queen?

My McLaren is in temperature controlled garage. It never gets too cold or too hot, just the right temperature, like this mug brings.

Damnnnnn it's expensive to baby sit your coffee. Just drink ya damn coffee while it's hot and keep it moving. Make smaller cups or get a vacuum thermos.

Guys… it's $90. It's not a life changing amount or one that requires this much thought. It's also Costco, you can always return it if it sucks. Been wanting to try it since my coffee always gets cold during my long meetings. Hope I'm not disappointed.

Have it, love it.

I also have the travel mug and like that the base is usable with both. I have a mug for both home and the office and the travel mug for the commute.

As you might have guessed, I have an obsessive personality and a problem with luke warm coffee....😂

You mentioned thermos mug, then proceeded to not list any points concerning thermos mugs.

Just put coffee in thermos, temperature should be extremely close to starting temp unless you left it open for well past the time it takes to drink the coffee.

not really unless you keep the lid on, which is not the way most people drink their coffee at home. but if you sip, that may play out differently.

with a heated mug, you don't have to rush to finish your drink at the end, while with a passive, insulated mug, temperature drops quicker as volume goes lower.

Are we seriously going to post anything that is $10 off? I could post many different items walking around Walmart.

It works great if you take and hour or so to sip your coffee. Probably will not last for a 2-3 hour meeting. Worth the 90$
