My Amp is in my house and I ran speaker cable down to my pool. even at 200' of wire the system does its job. And yes it connects to whatever streaming service you use. I put an old alexa down by the pool and made the sonos amp the audio so I can just say "Alexa, play music and we have sound down by the pool.

A lot of the Sonance price isn't in the drivers and housings it's in the protected dealer network.

In case anyone cares, these Sonance speakers appear to be identical to the ones that Sonos rebrands as their Architectural series Outdoor speakers and sell for $879/pair without an Amp to power them. I've got a pair mounted to my eves above my back deck and they're plenty of speaker to entertain my back yard and be a nuisance to my neighbors if I wanted to. Sound quality is excellent.

You're comparing apples and oranges. The JBL is an active speaker, which means the amplifier is built-in to the speaker housing, while the Sonance is a passive speaker, which is why it is being sold with an amplifier. The JBL is listed as 1000 watts peak, 500 watts continuous, with no other parameters given on the JBL website, so those numbers are probably at a high distortion level and so not realistic. The wattage listed for the Sonance is a peak amplifier power, which would still be plenty loud. And the JBL is only listed down to 60Hz frequency response, not a significant difference from the 65Hz for the Sonance.

It seems like the speaker wire goes inside the speaker from the back and supposed to be connected to the speaker terminals in the front of the speaker.

Important to consider as some may have very short speaker wire coming out of the wall. I have a very small bare speaker wires out of the wall.
