Welcome to the official SD Coca-Cola.com/offers / Formerly My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk rewards since 2006! (We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use Coke/MCR/codes or membership info to signup.)

The promotions continue:

Check the +one app for promos

Scroll to the 2nd Wiki for Coke AMOE links!

A toast to My Coke Rewards, the Greatest Rewards Program in History! Applause

Coca-Cola.com Offers FAQ, (Formerly My Coke Rewards [MCR]):

- How may I contact them?- When does the promotion end?

There is no specific end date for the program.

- Inactivity

Each particular Coke promotion may have its own activity clause.

- Participating Products:
Barq's, Coke, Coke Zero, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fanta, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Minute Maid Lemonade, Pibb, Sprite, Seagram's, Tab. (Powerade & Zero & Minute Maid Juices in the big black caps no longer have UTC codes.)

- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

- List of Accepted MCR Letter & Number Code Characters & Character Substition

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:

Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)

  • 0 = O (Zero, '0', is the officially accepted character according to MCR error messages; letter 'O' is the substitute.)

- Where do you find all the codes?
Here are a few ways...

Anyone have experience trying to use the $5 Walmart e-gift cards in a reasonable way? I saw where I can add 5 cards to my app and then pay with Walmart Pay, but I don't think I can do more than 5 cards at once. Unlike Target, it doesn't look like Walmart offers an easy way to consolidate them.

I actually saved a few screenshots on my phone, and I was going to scan them one by one at self checkout, but I literally didn't see any possible way to do that. If you have a physical card, I think you just swipe it, but I couldn't find any option to scan an e-gift card. I guess maybe I need to go through a lane with a real person next time, but Walmart is the worst for that.

Depending on which state you are in, you may be able to redeem for cash.

In CA it's the law that anything under $10 you are allowed to trade in for cash. I've done it many times at Target with printed e-gc's of $5. Usually take in 10-20 at a time.

I know software can be different from store to store, but use self checkout, hit pay now, select walmart gift card, wait a few seconds until screen changes and then scan with gun.

I save my COKE GCs in PDF form, put them on my phone(you'll need a PDF app to view) then scan with the gun as deal12 stated.

I quit trying the Pay app adding to my account as it quit working 9 months ago for some reason giving an error, CS(in-store & online) tried to help and had no solution plus Pay limits to 5 GCs in an account as we know.

This week my store updated the self checkout pay software and you do not choose debit, EBT or GC you just click 'Pay" and start scanning. I usually enlarge the GC's barcode to about 3 inches and hold the scan gun about 10 inches away for it to work/best result.

I used 6 eGCs this week and 7 in November 2022 using this method in one transaction, not limiting to 5. I completely went away from the Pay app and adding to an account unless I'm buying online for pick up or ship to home.

My family does MS Rewards and we get usually $10 in Wal-Mart per month doing it daily. We save to them to PDF + write them down on paper to keep up with what we use. The new system they installed this week does not show the GC last 4 digits as before on the receipt just the deduction and an approval code now.

Peace

If your egift card doesn't have a bar code to scan, one of the cashiers can pause your transaction, take you to their register and do them one by one. A bit of a hassle, but it can be done.

The "xodo" app free version works great -- both to read PDFs, and to annotate them: you could x-out a card you've finished using, or write the remaining balance on one you haven't. I use it to annotate movie tickets w/ notes.

If your -egift card doesn't have a bar code but have the corresponding numbers ... you could look at a card that does have a bar code, read it with your phone to figure out its type (usually "code 128") and composition, and use any online barcode generator to make one that should then scan fine.

Good info! + Rep.

Truthfully idk if I have ever seen a eGC without a barcode, all I have from any site that I save to file have one unless your referring to physical changing them into a barcode instead of a swipe bar.

You're right that current egcs have bar codes or qr codes, but that wasn't always the case. I remember getting a best buy egc years ago, it had voucher- and pin-numbers, but no bar code and couldn't be scanned in-store (and apparently stores had to scan 'em, as they claimed not to have a facility to type in numbers). Well, generating a bar code using the voucher and pin numbers sorted that out.

Similarly if somehow you've written down egc numbers but not download it as a PDF or have lost the PDF and are unable to re-download it, generating a barcode for in-store scanning works.

I appreciate the reply. Mine seems to have different software. There's no "gift card" option when I click pay now. I CAN just scan it with the gun after clicking Pay, (if it has a gun -- most of them don't) but when I do, it gives me an error message that says: "Invalid barcode scan. Barcode type is not supported for tender. Please scan valid barcode type."

I've tried Walmart Pay, but that also errors out on me every time.

I tried it again on a small purchase today because I wanted to test what would happen, and how much of a headache it would be. I went to a different store than usual, just in case they had different software or something, but it was the same thing. They sent me to customer service. I WAS able to use the gift cards at customer service, but it's a hell of an ordeal. Two employees have to sign off on literally every single gift card scan. If you're buying 100 dollars worth of groceries, that's gonna get annoying real fast.

I may try the bougie Walmart in the best part of town next. It seems like they might have different software, if I remember correctly. But ultimately, it seems like it's going to be a giant pain to actually use these.

I did something similar. I took screenshots from the website and saved them all in a folder so that I can easily pull them up and delete them after they've been used. It sounds like your software works similar to the one at my Walmart, but I've had no luck.

I tried that today, and even that seemed impossible. I had to go to customer service, and two separate employees had to scan their badge for every single gift card scan. I also asked if they could help me combine them. We tried, and the system wouldn't even let them do it.

I took and attached a photo of the error message. I wonder if it's literally the format of the barcode. I'm tempted to grab a physical Walmart giftcard and see if the barcode format is any different. If it's just a matter of putting it into the right barcode type, I could probably find a way to generate those online.

For people who have had success -- did you scan the barcodes from YourDigitalReward, or are they from a different fulfillment site? I have Target gift cards from CashStar and ActivationSpot, and those both use a different type of barcode than the Walmart ones on YourDigitalReward, but I assume that would depend on the retailer more than the fulfillment site.

I thought of one possible solution. I'm not even 100% sure it would work, but I think it probably would. I could probably go buy a high-dollar item (TV, etc) that costs roughly the same as all my gift cards, then immediately return the item. Yes, it would be a giant headache to get two employees to scan XXX number of gift cards, but at least I'd only have to deal with it once. I'm just hoping they give the refund on a new gift card, instead of it going back 5 dollars at a time onto each gift card I already gave them.

I'm going to agree that some order GC's didn't have bar codes. I used one a couple of weeks ago for Old Navy that the store manager tried telling me was not an Old Navy GC BECAUSE it didn't have a bar code. She was surprised that it worked when she typed in ALL the numbers.
