Welcome to the official SD Coca-Cola.com/offers / Formerly My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk rewards since 2006! (We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use Coke/MCR/codes or membership info to signup.)

The promotions continue:

Check the +one app for promos

Site: https://us.coca-cola.com/plusone

Scroll to the 2nd Wiki for Coke AMOE links!

A toast to My Coke Rewards, the Greatest Rewards Program in History! Applause

Coca-Cola.com Offers FAQ, (Formerly My Coke Rewards [MCR]):

- How may I contact them?- When does the promotion end?

There is no specific end date for the program.

- Inactivity

Each particular Coke promotion may have its own activity clause.

- Participating Products:
Barq's, Coke, Coke Zero, Dasani, Diet Coke, Fanta, Fresca, Mellow Yellow, Minute Maid Lemonade, Pibb, Sprite, Seagram's, Tab. (Powerade & Zero & Minute Maid Juices in the big black caps no longer have UTC codes.)

- Values:
Point values per code are no more, All codes are equal value, but check promotion. Check packaging for a MyCokeRewards Label! Not all Coke packages have the MCR logo, (i.e. 6-pack w/glass bottles).
However, in Coke's Give Program to schools, codes still have different values to school donations, see wiki below!

- List of Accepted MCR Letter & Number Code Characters & Character Substition

There are 25 total characters, (letters or numbers only), that are accepted in 14-character MCR codes, (out of 36 available, A-Z, and 1-0). Five of the characters may also be input as substitutions for other similar-looking characters. Either upper- or lower-case letters are accepted. The available characters are:

Letters: B F H J K L M N P R T V W X (No C D E G* I O* Q S* U* Y Z)
Numbers: 4 5 6 7 9 0 (No 1 2 3 8*)

* The five accepted substitute characters for similar-looking characters:
  • B = 8
  • V = U
  • 5 = S
  • 6 = G
  • 0 = O (Zero, '0', is the officially accepted character according to MCR error messages; letter 'O' is the substitute.)

- Where do you find all the codes?
Here are a few ways...
- drink soda
- participate/lurk on this board
- ask friends/family/neighbors/co-workers to save
- dumpster diving
- jumping out of cars upon seeing flaps on the side of the road
- referring a friend on the site
- ask Maids to save for those who travel
- ask recycling centers to save
- purchase on eBay
- sporting events, zoos, parks, etc
- make trades
- become buddies with vending machine stockers
- become the vending machine stocker

My sister is a teacher. My donation total for her school is $145.49 as of today. I'm plugging away using the scan method when it works and typing them up, too! I can't throw away money, but it sure is fun to toss those used caps.
But Remember - Any unused points will be donated to the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts

So it will help someone out if you are not able to enter them all . . . .

Wow, that's quite some scanning + typing! Sounds like you'll plow through all the rest no problemo, but if you do get around to converting caps to pictures, it would be _much_ easier to spread the workload: send a few dozen pictures to different people, and you'll get through 'em all in record time.

I appreciate your suggestion with the books. It worked perfectly! As long as the lighting was good, I had very few errors with the codes. It was so much faster and easier on my body than having to type them. Oh, I was able to log in and avoid the fraud protection message by using Edge instead of Chrome. Yay!

A few years ago I was at a Target, saw a new book the in game of thrones series, _wanted_ to buy it but didn't for thinking I should get the ebook rather than deadtree-version. But the latter was on sale and tempting. I hemmed and hawed for a few days, then figured I'd set enviro concerns aside and get the tree version, go back to the store ... and they were sold out. My point being I'm inspired by your already putting things into practice; I would still be "thinking about it" :-|

My picture-taking project was in the early part of the lockdown, and though I had just a couple hundred caps was still entertaining. For lighting I found the following helped: place the cap on a dark sheet w/ a circular cutout, and a diffuse light source underneath (a 1/2-inch away else I found the light is too strident); use a light source from above as well (I used a circular light clipped to the camera; light-from-below doesn't help for black caps,as you can imagine). Also, I sat in front of this whole goldberg-esque arrangement, wearing a lobster bib and with a basket at my feet -- flicking spent caps onto myself, to roll down the bib, and into the basket. Something like that. Here's a mockup of the camera setup; I have no more coke caps, hence the stand-in :]

Love the setup. Love you sharing it in detail. Hope Coke knows the lengths to which folks invested in their program.

It's actually Boys & Girls Clubs of America. I looked at their financials and how much they pay the President & CEO and the top executives. It is irritating to see those high salaries at a nonprofit organization. Plus, they charge a membership fee to the kids attending those programs. I wish Coke would have donated unused codes to St. Jude's.

As a boy (many moons ago) I loved playing basketball. The Y in a neighboring town (Chelsea) charged $50 for membership... a huge amount in the late 1950's. The Boys Club in Charlestown (section of Boston) only charged $3 so that's where we went to shoot hoops.

I updated the wiki. They all kind of suck though. I'm still unsure how to reconcile the tables for different users.

Does the school need to sign up on the Coke website to get the check? I saw on the FAQ list that schools would lose unclaimed checks.

If they are on the donation list, they should get a physical check. The check has to be deposited within 90 days. There is an Electronic Funds Transfer option, which the school does need to sign up. When I click on the EFT link, it just sends me to the Coca-Cola contact form. I will message them to see what is involved for EFT.
