These are great candles but they were much better before Walmart started squeezing Yankee Candle to make these cheaper. The pre-Walmart version of the candle had proper slow burning candle wax and wick - would last for months. The Walmartized version (albiet slightly cheaper now by a few dollars) seems to be using the scented wax you typically use/find in the wax cube melters/defussers that liquifies quickly and thus the candle lasts for a much shorter period of time. I have been buying this specific candle since I found them several years ago and noticed this change in the candle around end of 2019.

Still a good candle in my opinion but I dislike the switcharoo these companies make (I feel insulted ) I'd rather pay the extra couple of bucks for the original candles.

I got the Elderberry Bourbon/Humidor/Frasier Fir trio for this price a couple weeks ago and have been disappointed at how little scent it gives off. I can't really say it's worth it even on sale but maybe this scent is stronger. I know I'd be pretty ticked if I'd paid full price.

I got the same deal and they smell strong. This is coming from someone with very dull sense of smell. My only complaint is how fast they burn out.

My four other candles overpower it. Never noticed anything even remotely resembling a humidor either. Maybe I got a bummer.

Yeah it's easily my weakest candle. My girlfriend the candle queen made the same observation. Oh well.

I bought Humidor at retail from Walmart simply because it is one of my absolute favorite candles. I can smell a single candle burning in my entire upstairs of my house. Might want to get a COVID test.

I have just recently discovered these Woodwick candles and they haven't been disappointing in the slightest. They permeate throughout the house. I use them on my basement and main level. No issues with smell at all. And the burn time is amazing. I have been burning one since before Christmas, pretty much every day, and its only like 1/5 of the way gone. Funny how people have different experiences.

Yeah, I really like the WoodWick candles as well (which I also recently discovered). I now know to "trim" the wick before lighting each time. On the "eclipse" shaped candles, I just turn the candle upside down over the sink and run my fingers across the wick to get rid of the loose stuff. The smell is quite strong.

This is why I rarely shop at Walmart. You can only squeeze so far.

Not just Walmart. These were originally sold in boutiques and gift shops. Cracker Barrel had them too. When they were purchased by Yankee Candle, they went into the big box stores that sold Yankee candles too. Still a great candle, I have some of the originals and the new ones burn much better. Wax is the same soft wax as they were in the beginning.

I disagree that these are the same formulation of candle wax. But I will agree that these burn better in regards to the amount of smoke.

And Meijer, where I picked up 5 different candles / scents at 75% off. Which is funny, because I'm not one that burns candles because of the off toxic chemicals such as benzene (a known carcinogen) and toluene (which has numerous adverse effects if you breathe enough of it). That being said, I burn these every once in a while, and they have a pleasant sent. They also have some type of an oil they add to the wax, I inadvertently spilled some and while cleaning it up there was an oil that was present that you would not normally find from your "off the shelf candle", like the Walmart branded jar candles I have picked up on clearance for a buck.
Anyhow, I make it a habit now while shopping at Meijer to stroll bye the candle isle and look to see if this brand or the Yankee candle candles, which have also been on clearance, can be found for a good price.
