Just so it is clear, this is the wired version. The Wireless (Non special edition) is generally more expensive from $75-$100.

I got the wireless from BB during black friday for around 70 and they are awesome, love the big dials and that you can talk on phone and play games at the same time.

My buddy has it and while maybe not the best, I generally have no complaints on how he sounds to me. Perfect for this price range really.

I wish that they made this style for the 20th anniversary in wireless, I'd buy then.

I don't think they made a wireless 20th anniversary, though they do have the wireless. I am happy to be proven wrong though, just did not see anything in my searches for one.

Strange, looks like you are correct, sorry about that, I swore they had done a wireless version

the razer black shark headphones demolish this headset for the price. this is just the xbox tax, and these headphones have not gotten favorable reviews, the Rtings review said the sound quality was "poor" on these, that's extremely critical. Slickdeals comment sections like these don't have good expertise on audio

Spend the extra money and get the current wireless version when it's on sale.

Edit: not anniversary edition. I have the wireless version and it's solid. I think I paid $85 for it last year and it's been on sale recently for $75.

i guess the razer would be best used with the usb sound card, which doesn't work on xbox. don't know if that "downgrades" the sound, so i would be hesitant to buy that for xbox gaming.

right now i am using a sony platinum headset, but it is heavy and uncomfortable after longer use. looking for something lighter and more breathable.

My colleague, North America Xbox finance controller, has both and he uses both interchangeably in the meetings. I don't notice any difference.
