We had the worst time with this service and had to switch back to cable internet. I spent probably more than 10 hours on the phone over a week with their tech support. It would work fine for a brief moment and then nothing despite appearances that everything was OK. It was a complete nightmare.

My speeds are around 400/40, but it's useless if you do online gaming.
For office and home use and streaming, it works well.

see below. you can do your own research too.

Hello! I apologize that you are having issues with Home Internet. I personally use T-Mobile Home Internet for Gaming, and I can agree with you it can be a little frustrating getting it to work with Video Games if at all. The reason for this (confirmed by a Supervisor from Home Internet department) is because the High-Speed Gateway lacks the "UPnP" feature which in short terms is used to connect to certain aspects of a Video Game such as Chat Systems for example. Without UPnP, video gaming can be tough. T-Mobile is aware of the issue, and they are working on a fix, but don't know when it will be released. I hope my answer has helped. Have a great week!

and

had issues with the port forwarding. The issue is that t-mobile and others use a carrier grade NAT which will never assign you a public IP when connecting to the internet. You will be assigned a shared IP to WAN which means there is no way to direct any particular port to your device directly. Unless t-mobile offers a service to allow a public or dedicated IP this probably will never be supported, even if the router they provide has it available in their settings

Love my T Mobile home internet....saving $20/mo compared to Spectrum with speeds at least 2 to 7 times faster! (150mbps download up to as high as 500mbps). If you're close to the towers, you'll love it....seems to be hit or miss though, although I've heard more people like it than not.

I thought this was $50/month with autopay, why is it telling me $55 with autopay once I log in?

Probably Unpopular opinion but here is why I have Tmobile Internet and Spectrum.

My wife works from home. If Spectrum has an outage, Tmobile is our backup. Anyone who is looking for Tmobile 5g home internet to be their primary, you are in for a world of hurt. Tmobile 5g home internet should only be used for a home internet backup that can still be supported.

I run PFSense dual wan with a trigger of a failover from spectrum to tmobile. .

I've had such a good experience with this service so far! More than twice as fast as my Spectrum was, and substantially cheaper. Appleton, WI for reference.

Has anybody used this with a houseful of smart devices and lots of kids streaming? I would be so happy to ditch Xfinity but I'm wondering if it can handle heavy loads.
I have 29 smart devices on mine.... and it works flawlessly. Can't comment on multiple streams, but with me on Netflix, and my devices there are no issues at all! Frequently getting 400-500 mbps.

$50 all in with AutoPay, or $55 without AutoPay. They send you like 5G router for free, I think need to send it back maybe if you discontinue service not fully sure about it. It is like rented out to you but at no extra cost.

Had this service for 3-4 months now. As people have said, it's a total crapshoot based on your coverage, house, and to a lesser extent network congestion on your local tower. I've had a pretty good experience but I do have to adjust the rotation on my trashcan usually weekly to get the best signals. My house is smack dab in between 3 towers and the trashcan likes to lock onto and switch randomly, often, oh yeah and I reboot it pretty much nightly using a smart switch. I also use my own router and have virtually everything I can shut off on the trashcan. Overall, it's worked great and in getting 2-3x down and 2-3x up of what I used to from a cable internet provider for about half the price per month. It's not for competitive gaming due to some added latency and jitter but everything else it should work well if you have good coverage. TMobile support is a joke so your better off looking online or reddit for help and info unless your hardware just dies. Not having a data cap is huge for us since we can stream it do whatever as much as we want and don't have to worry.

Has anyone figured out how to do distributed mesh internet (or whatever it's called), where everyone's WiFI router and internet can be partially (and safely) exposed to others so it won't matter as much how far you are from a tower as the signal is just passed along and shared? Or is this still years in the future, if ever, for technological, legal, business and even psychological reasons?

Is this a hard pull if you already have T-Mo cell service?

Wow, crazy how you have it in LA but I live just outside of Chicago and my options are either Comcast (reliable but crazy expensive) or AT&T (cheaper but unreliable).
I'm outside of Chicago in the NW suburbs. I've been on this since I move 1+ yr ago and it's been pretty solid, especially since 5g modems came out. I did have some gateways issues around the 4th this year, but 2 units later and investing in a fan for cooling, it has been consistent. Just waiting on n41 bands to be more accessible, but time will tell for my location in relation to nearby towers.

Also, with where I'm at att and Xfinity won't service me, so it's this or...shitty dsl

Anyone know if once you receive the device its locked to the geographical home address or could you theoretically move it around?

We use T-Mobile for cell phones and their 5G coverage is terrible where we are. LTE was better. So, thinking home internet from them is a terrible idea.

I've switch over to T-Mobile internet and have never looked back. I had both for a month and didn't tell the rest of the family, no one noticed any difference. Been saving $30 a month and been loving it. Works great with my nest mesh system too.

Darn it. I just signed up. I will call them to see if they can apply this promotion. My experience has been good so far. I am in the Houston area and my connection has been solid ever since I have connected to the network. If it continues to be reliable then I don't ever need to go back to cable.
Did you try this? I signed up about 3 days ago but haven't received my stuff.
