I have both. If you're not going to slam/drop them from height, the nordic track set for me, works better. I hate the round profile of the Bowflex set as they roll around when you lay them down.

The grips on the Bowflex are more ergonomic and comfortable, the adjustment settings are easier to use, and they have a nicer coating.

The Nordic Track weights are shorter, the grips are less abrasive, they don't roll, and the dock is nicer.

The nordic are a better value. Id buy those if you don't change weights frequently and have a surface that needs the flat spots to prevent rolling.

P.S. If you can get PowerBlocks, those are better than both and built like a tank.
$229 at Walmart [walmart.com] with free shipping. Dick's has $40 shipping with a $15 shipping discount for this product

Looks good, but the reviews are scary. Anyone tried both sets and can compare?

I checked some reviews on other sites, including bestBuy, and they seem to be just fine. Some people even prefer the use of the pins to the dial that you have in the Bowflex version. I'm in for one, so I guess i will find out.

I have the golds gym branded version of these that I bought from Costco a couple of years ago. Very happy with them.

I have the Weider set from Sam's club that's very similar to these and have the pins as well. Advantage to the pins vs the dial is with the pins you don't carry around the full length of the bar when using lighter weights, which I love. No issues at all with the pins they work great.

I am using them since last year. Its a steal at this price. I got them for $350 when there was a scarcity of dumbells all over. They are better than bowflex as they have flat ends, looks like a real dumbel and you can rest them on your thighs. Bowflex have pointed ends. Also, you can adjust the weight every 2.5 pound. Adjusting weights in a superset is a problem as its not that quick.

Nordictrack has a new design so Dicks is probably trying to get rid of supply. These are a good price. The new design are selling on amazon for $329. Weiders model at Sams club is the same as the new design and is selling for $250 plus $20 for shipping. I like the straight metal knurled handle and the round weight shape of the new design. If I were going to get these I think I'd pay the extra $50 and get the Weider model.
I ended up getting a set of Powerblocks on sale for $250 with free shipping from Woot and am very happy with them. Only thing I wish they had would be a straight knurled handle.

Ordered for pickup and order was cancelled before fulfillment. Placed another for pickup at another nearby store and again was cancelled before fulfillment. Nearby stores that I tried ordering from for pickup are starting to show "In-Store Purchase Only" online. I give up.

No comments on the product - just wanted to point out that Bestbuy reviews are pretty useless. They start asking for reviews just days after buying the product. Almost every tech product I've come across on BB has a 4.5+ rating.

Just bought these 2 days ago at this price. I also bought the stand they had on sale for $99. Again it's only been a couple days but for $300 for both this seems like a steal. They have been great for 2 days Smilie
