FYI You can get this for about $100 less if you can verify with Id.me directly from GE. I paid around $450

Seems to be only an added military discount that brings it down that much

Add me to the list of people who bought this only to have it die a month out of warranty.

That was unnecessary. There are tons of IoT devices out there with unplugged security holes. Don't connect anything to the internet unless you absolutely have to.

TY OP ~ Reps!

Had no idea Costco sold this. Been on the fence up till now due to possible warranty issues with BB & Amz, but no worries with Costco and Citi.

Yes yes it's expensive but I bit the bullet and got one a few months ago. We use it pretty much all day long and take it in the RV for camping trips. For my family it's worth every cent. Makes my mixed drinks that much better. Heck my kids want ice for a snack
This is exactly what we do with ours.. love it. We have the 2.0 version.

We've had this for 8 months and we love it. It it louder than it needs to be in my opinion, but oddly you get used to it. That's my only complaint; it's worth it to have the GOOD ICE in every drink all day every day!!
look on youtube easy fix about oiling

ID.me discount showing only 10% for me and the price on the GE store is $620 for this unit and $579 for the bottom tank unit. What am I missing?
I saw same thing but once added to cart the discount applies. you can also get the 1.0 version which I currently have for about another $40-$50 off.

Have had mine for 1 year and love it. We clean it every 6 weeks and we use distilled water and have had no problems.

I got this 2.0 to upgrade from the 1.0 that died after 2 years. **DEFINITELY** Get the extended warranty. But overall I'm very happy with the 2.0. I made a video setting up the 2.0: https://youtu.be/S_HcvQeMAFs

Can someone comment on how the ice tastes? The nugget ice from DQ is hard to top and I'm wondering if it's something in their water or just that nugget ice in general gives it that unique taste

It's 520 from them right now for the 2.0 with a first responder discount, I appreciate the heads up but I'll probably go Costco for the better warranty/exchange, maybe other forms of I'd.me her a better discount than firemen I'm not sure. I do appreciate it I didn't even know they had a discount for us.
