If you have a Costco membership, they have the 14 oz for $89, free shipping.

Just an FYI. If you're an Android user, hopefully, you have someone else in the household with an iPhone or iPad. You'll get the cup and there will be a firmware update for your mug. The firmware update fails at 50% on all Android phones (the Google app reviews tell the story, as does my own experience). You'll need to connect to an iOS device, run the update, and reassociate with the Android device.

Ember's ideal drip coffee temp is 134 degrees. I learned via ownership that I definitely don't want my coffee that hot.

How do these hold up to actual outdoor cold temps? My wife would love something that keeps her tea warm/hot but works in an unheated horse barn all day… well there is a minimally heated room where maybe the base could be left plugged in but would the mug itself hold up to outdoor use?

Edit: never mind, looked at the link. Not really something that would work for this situation. Need some type of mug with a lid.

Ordered the Costco one, but 14oz is Huge (for my taste). Will cancel/return, and order this instead. Thanks!

Best thing might be some kind of stainless steel thermal flask for her. Takeya and Hydroflask are some options, but she may prefer a different and smaller design

The 10oz is perfect for me since my Jura maxes out at 8oz anyway, and due to the electronics these mugs are bulky already. Also the 10oz has 10 minutes more battery life.

Would be nice if the charging base just used USB-C PD, but its not a deal breaker really.

i would try a double steel wall cup mug
it will most likely keep it hot enough
before you finish drinking it all.

Ember has a travel mug too which could be useful, if you are specifically looking for this kind of keeping drinks hot product.
I find it on the pricey end.

Definitely a luxury purchase but this is an excellent price. Lowest I've ever seen (unless you got the $15 target PM)

Yes, luxury item. For $10 more, you can get the 14oz. version from Costco, and their easier return policy and/or additional 2 year warranty (using the Citi Costco card).
