ZGrills used to manufacture for Traeger. Once the patent and contracts expired, Traeger went a different mfg route, and ZGrills started selling direct.

I have a zgrill pellet smoker and cannot speak highly of it enough for the price point. Have had it for 2 years now with zero issues. I think the price point is quite good for the product in question.

My local Sam's Club had a Z Grills Pellet Grill/Smoker with over 700 sq inches for $399.99 if I remember correctly. It is not available online.

Good price on a decent smoker. If you are looking to get in at a low price to give it a run, this would be it. If you are able to expand your budget a little and buy one for the long run, there are some better midtier options out there. I personally like Camp Chef, but you are talking about $100-$200 above this price.

From the picture I can't tell the size very well, but I bought a smaller Traeger and it was a terrible purchase and this grill looks like a similar size. According to the Traeger guys, it was because the pellet hopper was small and because of that, the pellets got stuck often and didn't auto feed, which defeated the set it and walk away feature of pellet grills. This unit seems similar sized, although it is a different brand, so you might be cognizant of potential pellet feed issues. I returned the Traeger, thank you Costco, and got my money back. Not saying this Z Grill will have the problem, but might be wise to read reviews just in case. I have heard great things about Z Grills from many users, FWIW.

Edit: in looking at the reviews on WMT, no one mentioned pellets getting stuck. So that is good.

Found the same one. Looks like a bigger discount, but also has a different design with different lid, etc. Not sure whether it is better or not.

Very similar. Biggest difference in performance looks to be a 20lb vs 10lb hopper. 20lb is the way to go. On long smokes not having to check in the pellets is priceless.

Good catch on the hoper size. I also think this one has a much better look for what it's worth.

The specs on Z Grills website state a 10lb hopper for this model as well.

From what I read on the site, the 600 series has a hole you can sear at 750F, but a relatively small (8 lbs) hopper. The other interesting thing is that the A model of this smoker has a 16lb hopper but this one is only 10lbs.

There are also obvious cosmetic differences.

The ZGrill site is really confusing.
