Isn't this the model with the non functioning HDMI 2.1 that Costco used to sell on sale for $350.00? $200.00 and I'm in for one
They fixed it. You can tell if your unit has the fix because the firmware will have a * by it on the display. If not, you can send it in for a repair/board swap. I sent mine in last month and they had it fixed in 24 hours. Took about two weeks total with transit time (I'm in WNY, had to send it via UPS to a place in Utah). It was super easy once I submitted my repair request. They send the label and tell you exactly what to do. I'm able to get 4k@120 and 8k@60 now (though no way to test the latter). My Series X had no problems detecting everything once I configured all the things.

Thanks, great info. If I see a refurb for around $200.00 I'm all in. Been waiting for a good deal on a Yami to replace my Denon S920W.
I have 4 speakers in the ceiling with the house I bought. Need a receiver and a subwoofer. Any recommendations on a subwoofer? I have to have one right?
Was about to post this but beat me to it, looks like it's been cheaper historically, but still seems to be a solid price for a refurb unit, and much cheaper than new.

You don't "need" one…I have JBL ceiling speakers and a Polk audio front speaker and Sony sub. It definitely helps to have a subwoofer.

Does the new board enable 4k/8k on all HDMI ports or just ports 1-3? Any changes to ports 4-7?

$400 is the regular price Costco used to sell these for when they came out in late 2020. Then they put them on sale a few times for $330.

Same here only complaint was Yamaha took too long to come up with the repair process. But the board swap was easy. Xbox series x works great on the thing now as does 4k/120hz
Anyone know how this compares to the Yamahas at Best Buy? The cheapest 7.2 Yamaha at Best Buy is the RX-V6A for $649.
Aside from these models in Woot's listing being refurbished, the TSR-700 and RX-V6A are identical products. The former being a model name exclusive to Costco.
