The plastic drawers, though possible space hogs, can be useful as socket organizers inside your tool box drawers.

Not sure if Craftsman quality is what it used to be but I'm still using a very similar set that I picked up at Sears about 35 years ago. Over the years I've had to replace a couple broken sockets and the 1/4 and 3/8 ratchets under warranty a few times after getting a little over zealous with a hammer.Smilie

I was watching a few recent reviews on socket sets, and I think the craftsman were ranked dead last in terms of durability and quality. I think they're just Chinese manufactured now slapping the craftsman name on it to milk it for all it's worth.

It contains over 100 pieces in bits and such. Saw it this morning in-store and had to walk away.

Isn't "Dead Last" the way it's been for Craftsman tools since the early 1970's?

I always thought Craftsman was the Poor Man's Black & Decker? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Craftsman was a very good quality tool when it was still US made. I can't say for certain, but the pro line was probably made by SK. If you placed them side by side, Craftsman looked identical to the SK superchrome.

They are not same quality as they were, especially kits. But...i just take them in one at a time when they break. They are replaced under warranty with singles, which seem to be of better quality.
