Good price but I've been buying too many of these bulbs; i have like 8 still in the box. Sometimes they don't like to turn on/off/dim/change color and it gets a little annoying. I mainly use them to go on/off.

You're talking about the Sylvania bluetooth mesh right? because those $4/pair deals were the worst. No joke, 50% will not turn on after install.

While newer, it's 800 lumens vs 850. Also, the build quality of the older gens feel a lot more sturdy.

Those are 800 lumen vs the ones in the OP being 850 lumen.

I own the KL125 and at 800 lumens, it's just not bright enough for my needs.
The KL130 is 850 lumens and would be a tiny bit better. I'm waiting for the 1000 lumen KL135 to go on sale.

You can only get one, they should work on a smart switch but realize you might now have two devices to turn on vs one.

Reading the reviews, I'm surprised at the comments that say that if these lose wifi connection they won't follow the schedule. I would have thought they could remember the schedule, and that you'd only need wifi to change it (or manually adjust the light).

In comments on another thread here on the Kasa KL50, people had said they thought the bulb would remember the schedule without wifi.

had these and returned them. wouldn't connect to my wifi and when they did, they were very unreliable. I'm running a unifi backed system so it's not me. go with hue, buy one cry once.

They work fine with a smart switch.
The key is to leave the KL 130 turned on, it's remembers it's state including color and brightness settings.
Then, there's only one device to turn on/off.
