Witcher hands down. Story is lengthy and phenomenal. So much to craft, wear, equip and explore. Put 250+ hours into first play through (Xbox Series X though). Blows BOTW out of the water… and BOTW was the best game that I've had ever played, until Witcher 3. I've been gaming since Coleco.

I never played on Switch though… Wonder about performance…

Then I wonder about pc version will play on Steam Deck 🤤

Point and click ain't my jam.

There is cross save between PC and Switch. So if you started on GOG or Steam and want to take your save to the switch for Witcher on the go, you can do so with cloud saves:

Diablo is more of a dungeon crawler RPG with an emphasis on multiplayer. Witcher is a 3rd person open world adventure RPG. So it depends what you're looking for.

Diablo on the switch is sick. Absolutely love it. However, the volume is super low in portable mode.............

If you have a non switch gaming device (PS4, ps5, decent gaming PC) I'd go that route instead.
This game is still fairly computationally intensive and benefits from beefier machines. It's also a visually beautiful game- while maxed graphics isn't needed to enjoy, the experience is better on stronger devices. You can also commonly find for $10 ish used or digital.

If you only have a switch, or handheld is important, then by all means buy the switch copy. But imo, this is one of the games to crank to max and enjoy it the way it was built.

I agree if you have access to something else then it'd be a better experience there. (Higher fps and graphics depending on the console)

However, if you have a decent PC, you can get it on switch and PC (cheap on PC) and share saves, so you can play portable for part then on the PC for more visual experiences. Best of both worlds imo and a really nice feature!

If one was interested in an action adventure switch game, Witcher or Diablo prime?
Diablo is great. 1,2 and 3. But you can snag torchlight 2 on sale for 5$. Also a great crawler. Witcher is best played on pc. It's that type of game.

From what I have read/seen on reviews, the Switch version doesn't compare to the other versions graphically. However if Switch is your only gaming device, then it is serviceable and having a portable version works really well.
This. I played the Witcher on my gaming PC. I just so happen to also have it on switch. It's a graphics nightmare in comparison. I laughed and turned it off. If you have any other option, take it. Otherwise, it's a great game!

Do you need a Nintendo online membership for cross saves to PC?

Performance on Switch sucks, graphics are knocked down hard.

The switch version is surprisingly good. I'm still surprised they got it to run on the Switch at all.

For $10 more, the DLC is probably WORTH it, but do I really NEED it?

Eesh, play this on anything other than the Switch if you can. Or wait until you can.

Controller support for Witcher 3 on PC exists and works well. Also, Diablo 3 is great for couch co op (local and online) on consoles. Switch gameplay of Witcher 3... its the same, but the visuals is where things can get rough.
