Would this work for my NVR security camera system? It asks for 3.5 inch SATA hard drive and this seems to check all the boxes. I can have a max of a 4tb drive too.

There are drives optimized for that like the wd purple. I'm sure Seagate has a model also. Cameras write all the time and the regular nas drives may not last as long.

It would, but you're better off sticking with WD Purple or Skyhawks. They are optimized for surveillance. Bit error correction on the Red drives can cause you to lose some live streaming time

Be careful w/ these Ironwolf drives b/c it's a lottery out here. I recently had a 14TB randomly go kaput all the sudden after less than 4 weeks of use. Unfortunately for me it's WD FTW...
