Horrible performance on the switch. Gotta sit through a load screen every time you walk into a different room or area and the load times are long, and the framerate is poor, which is weird because this is mostly a 2D game. The pathing in this game is bad. It's hard to know where you can make your character walk to and you hit dead ends. And the game is just flat out boring as it's nothing but listening to (or reading) dialogue. I felt like I had to go over all dialogue options with all the NPC's so I wouldn't potentially miss anything important. But you can spend 15 minutes talking about inconsequential bs with an unimportant NPC. I really wish I could have returned this game.

I just played through this on Xbox. God it's a great game. Make no mistake, it's primarily an old school point and click adventure, but if you have the attention span for that kind of game you will love this beautifully drawn, written, and acted masterpiece.

I'm sure this will be controversial but it's selling for $18 on Stadia. That could potentially offer some mobile playability like Switch but also give you PC access which many have indicated is a better control experience. This may be one of the best use cases for Stadia in that lag from remote processing won't matter for this type of game as much as a FPS or any other fast paced game.

It's a point and click adventure game, I would not recommend this to console players unless you absolutely want to play and don't have a PC

Lot of reading in this game... I usually don't like those type of games but this once has a great story and cheeky writing. Pretty fun if you enjoy reading story... more of a book than a game.

I own this game on switch and epic (pc game). I do not think that I can recommend the switch version. It performs very slowly. The controls are also awkward.

It's definitely a different type of game. I just bought it during this sale and I am enjoying it, though I'm still getting a feel for my character build. How did you not look into what type of game it was and reviews prior to buying it? Did you just buy it based off the cover art?

Just finished playing this game on pc and it's really great if you love the classic rpg that is all about story building and learning more about the world. This game has heavy political tones so if you're not into that then you probably would not enjoy it. I've heard that the game does not run that well on the switch but it is playable. This game is basically an interactive storybook so if that's your thing then I would definitely recommend it!

I like classic RPGs, point and click adventures, experimental/weird games, etc. I couldn't get into this game. I'm not sure why but I've tried a few times.

It makes me sad because almost everyone loves this game! So I'll say if you're on the fence, ignore me you'll probably love it 😂

I hear so much praise about this game and it makes me want to get it. However, I saw screenshots and small clips, and it doesn't seem like the type of game I would enjoy at all. Seems very slow paced (boring).

Last time I was in that predicament, I gave Hades a shot and it turned out to be a top 3 of all time for me.

Now to decide if I want to give this a shot. Will lightning hit twice? Someone give me some confidence on buying this as all the awards, accolades, and perfect scores have to mean something, right? Smilie

Game is boring as hell. Your choices have zero impact. You basically have to sift through hours of bizarre dialogue that makes little or no sense as the story unfolds. It's all about talking to the right person at the right time. Very repetitive. I stuck with it thinking there would be some cool twist or crazy revelation about the killer at the end but nope. The only shocking thing about the ending is how incredibly lame the killer reveal was.
Not knocking anyone who liked it, just not my cup of tea.

Arguably slow paced and boring to certain people, but it's like someone calling the most impactful book you've ever read boring, ya know? The writing is so ridiculously, impossibly clever, witty, insightful, and creative that if you have any appreciation for that stuff at all you will enjoy it. The story is still engaging and the world is immersive - it's not like reading War and Peace. It's seriously hilarious. At least every couple minutes there's something worthy of an internal snort of amusement. It's witty and irreverent and brilliant. Try it out! Hades is awesome, btw
