little confused on pt 5 my self.

note from wiki.
seems to imply that once activated for the first month.
and then no more active service.
the phone will automatically unlocked after 60 days from activation.
(or 30 days from having no active service)
Yes, that's the implication, but there have been a lot of questions brought up on previous pages about if it will actually happen that way. People who got the previous deal and are past 60 days should start reporting back with verified results next week, so we should be able to check back then and get a definitive answer.

Hey guys looks good news around the corner for unlocking ( of course I know will see the first batch practically) but here is what I did - I had a chat and called them with my IMEI and mobile provided - asked to see what is system date it is showing as 60 days to be active for unlock eligibility. I went ahead and asked the date and he told me the date system showed was 3/1. I activated this line on dec30 I guess so looks it's all reflecting on the system too at least on my case but said pls ensure you have an active service.. fingers crossed to see it practically happen

Does the Rsim, Turbosim, Whitesim, etc work to unlock the phone for Sprint sim/activation?
The white NYTURBO sim will soft unlock your phone and you can use it on Sprint but sprint won't be able to activate your phone, they will say it's locked by the previous carrier. On your sprint dashboard you will not be able to see the iphone XR listed as your device. If you are planning to trade it in for the iphone 13, once you are unlocked, call sales at 8007774681 and work your charm, tell them you are using the xr for the past few days but for some reason the system still shows you using the old phone, when they ask you for an imei for trade in, give them your XR imei. Be gentle and kind and polite and they will work with you. Hope that helps.

The more I looked at these xrs, I found out more. These refurb xrs, the screens are so easy to get scratched. I stacked these xrs together and top right all got camera scratched marks. However, the good xr from Apple, it doesn't have any scratch at all after 2 years of use without tempered glass.

I'm using it on sprint. Just popped in a sprint (TMO) sim card from my older iphone SE and it worked. For the trade in call 18007774681.

Yeah, probably a good idea to use a screen protector. I generally don't, but may give it a try, note that Dollar Tree sells tempered glass screen protectors for the XR and some other models and I saw a couple of reviews that seem to say they work pretty well.

Tried trade-in at Tmobile today. Seems like my XR was missing the water damage indicator in the SIM card slot, indicative of a changed screen.

What should I do with the phone? Pay shipping and return or try somewhere else? Thanks.
A lot of people have went to T-mobile stores to do trades. I'm pretty sure a lot of those XR phones had replaced screens with LDI (liquid damage indicator) missing. My guess is most store reps didn't bother to check or they are starting to crack down because of the flood of XR phones they are getting.

It was $180 cash or $225 store credit. The Verizon version (this one) offers most value ($168) from Gamestop. Other XR 64GB carrier versions are $160 cash.

I have a TW XR that I was gone flip for either a free Pixel 6 or Iphone 13 with Sprint, but my XR is missing the LDI. Debating if I should do the upgrade, mail in the XR, and take my chances. It definitely would suck if the XR got rejected.

Thanks for the update. This makes it sound like the cost of an unlocked XR just went up by $25 correct?
