Depends on the use case. If you're just starting out the two smaller capacity batteries are better because you can always have one charging while using the other.

Would have to be a 5ah since they dont have a 4ah for 12v and its cuz in reality not actual pricing they know that 1 bigger battery holds more value then 2 smaller batteries to most ppl. They want you to pay extra for that lol

Dang. Got all excited until I saw it's 12v and I just don't want to add another battery type. Am I wrong?

If your already in the dewalt 20v line the 12v batteries fit in most of the 20v chargers. While they won't run as long the 12v tools are awesome for being lightweight and being smaller and fitting more places. I have at least 20 tools between them and love them all.

I currently use the DCF887 for work on the car as well as driving screws.

Been thinking about a 3/8" impact wrench. There is also a few 20V options. DCF923B (super small and 450lb breakaway) and the DCF890B (150 ft lb).

DCF887 1/4" impact driver
Weight: 2.1lbs
Length: 5.3 in
Torque: 1825 in lb (152 ft lb)

DCF902B 3/8" impact wrench
Weight: 1.73lb
Length: 5.1 in
Torque: 200 ft lb

I have 4 of each and sometimes for certain tool having a smaller battery is nice for both weight and size. Plus you can charge one while using the other.

I'm giving up on Lowes.
Every single SD deal posted always shows out of stock locally, and the price is always double to triple the SD deal.
Add to that the dizzying array of tools team yellow has dropped in the last 6 months - makes my head spin.
