That is a lot of plastic. I prefer glass, better for the environment and safer for your health.

Nice deal - important to note that really the only complaint on these is that they may not be leak proof. So if you use them in say a lunchbox that gets tossed/turned, or something similar, it may make a mess.

Shipping is free for people who pay for Shipping Plus. So it isn't free. If you got it without upgrading for $50 let me know.

Even with shipping, which is normally around $6, this is still a great deal

Just don't throw it away. Then nothing to be an activist about.

These are super not durable. Probably fine for the fridge, but not great for transporting or heating. They are "microwave safe" but very flimsy, especially after being heated.

stuff is pretty dirty to produce, too.

even if I don't throw it away, it'll take 5 lifetimes for it to decompose.

Doubt our species will make it that far though.

And That's why I'm hitting Buy. To the inferno, together!

Be sure to pack extra food for the trip.

Cheap, but very thin plastic. If you're going to microwave these, I don't think they'll last very long.

Lots of one star reviews for the glass set but a ton of five star reviews as well.

These are just like the ones that my local deli uses for takeout. Good price, but I have a hard time paying for something I can get for free if I'm patient enough to collect the takeout containers.

Actually takes far more energy to produce glass than plastics. The polypropylene these are made out of is highly recyclable. Anyone who says that polypropylene leaches into food hasn't done their homework. It's one of the safest plastics out there. Just don't over-microwave it.

Pulled the trigger. Going to use these to distribute food to the homeless in my neighborhood.

This is one of the better meal prep kits that you can buy. Very durable compared to most. I have used many kinds due to my college age kids who go to work and school. They are nice size and will last thru many, many uses. I also prep for my mother who is unable to make her own meals due to her age and arthritic hands. These are the only ones I have found that have larger handles that will allow her to be able to take the lids off. Glass is fine for home use but trying to compare glass to plastic in a meal prep kit, doesn't really compare. Just my 2 cents. This is a good kit for the money.
