If you have a relatively new tv, the remote it comes with should work on the PS5, like the basic media controls.

Unpopular opinion but I personally feel that the PS5 is not a very good media player. It doesn't support Dolby Vision playback and some apps are severely lacking in features and functionality such as the Disney Plus app which I last checked didn't support 4k playback on the PS5.
