These are not HP batteries, and as the owner of a giant stack of these P129 models, I can tell you that they don't stand up under high loads like the HP ones. For instance, in my Ryobi shop vac, the HP 3AH batteries will outlast these 4AH batteries because the 4AH ones can't stand up to the power demand. Having said that, these things are enough for max performance in 75% of the tools Ryobi sells. Things like the vac, impact wrenches, the grinder, 7 1/4 circ saw, go with HP. Lights, drills, sanders, glue gun, caulk gun, speakers, grease gun, inflators, etc., you'll be just fine with these.

The Ryobi P129 is a 2-pack of Ryobi P108 batteries. These P108 batteries are the older 4Ah batteries that appear to be no longer manufactured. They use good Samsung Japanese cells, unlike the newer Ryobi batteries that now use cheap Chinese knockoff cells.

The other thread only lists the single factory blemished battery for $60.

Not bad? Have the high performance 4's been cheaper? I'd say, rather great. Quite delightful, perhaps.

Edit: not HP, they are just high capacity. Still quite delightful.
