"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"

The TW Cust Serv rep told me that VW Sims are not compatible with the TW phones 🙄
It might be worth it to just trade it in for the Galaxy 21 FE now since that might yield a better trade in this fall. But based on previous launch iphone offers, the iphone 11 should be safe to get the $800 offer. I always like to stick with iphones since they keep their value really well.
I also wouldn't be surprised if there's a tmobile trade in offer sometime in the next 4 months so it might be possible to double dip and upgrade the phone twice and get to the 13 pro max.
I was thinking about grabbing the s21 FE too but not sure of its future TIV since the s21 is supposed to be a above the Fe.
I too gravitated toward iphone deals. Also the 3rd gen iPhone se should be here in q1 soon so maybe xr trade to se will be free as well lol
If you read the unlocking policy you can see that no "continuous service" is required for the phone to unlock
