"The most magical thing just happened guys. Today I woke up to a "No SIM Restriction" on a Verizon iPhone 13. So they do definitely unlock it automatically on the 60th day. I still have the Verizon line but it's in a "voluntary suspended )$10 a month)" status because I wanted to make sure it would unlock and I still had a line (I don't think keeping a line is necessary btw, I was just being extra cautious). All good. Everything turned out ok to my surprise!"
SIM options
Tracfone: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
Total Wireless: Verizon
Simple Mobile: T-Mobile
Net10: ATT(now removed), T-Mo, Verizon
Pageplus: Verizon
Walmart Family Mobile: T-Mo
Straight Talk: ATT, T-Mo, Verizon
I've been doing this a while and know the ins and outs of TFW. Verizon may or may not force all brands to their network at some point. They also may consolidate the brands, but that's the rundown.

The 12 is the first iPhone that is actually worse than it's predecessor.
They reduced weight in the 12 by shaving the battery down. It barely gets through the day when my 11 would have 30-40% in the evening.
The 5G gives no improved benefit as it is slower than 4g for me most of the time.
$250 + tax for the 11, $122 + tax for the XR.
Trade for TMO phone (iP13, S21) @ BB. . .11 fetches $500, XR fetches $390. . .XR edges out for "best trade" by about $20 over the 11 after taxes etc.
@ BB, the S21's are ALSO currently highly discounted ($499/$649/$849 for S21/+/Ultra)
No Bill credits, instant full credit @BB
Through TMO, the XR is the better trade in deal now. . .the 11 is better if you wait until iP14 to trade it.
TMO giving $400 TIV for each phone. . .or $800 if you have Magenta Max or other top premium plan.
You also pay tax on full MSRP for purchases from TMO. . .and of course 24 or 30 mo. bill credits
Though at TMO, the S21 series prices are higher at full MSRP $799/$999/$1199. . .so if you don't have Max plan go to BB (maybe even if you do!)
The prices for iPhones are same at TMO and BB, so if you have Max i would do through TMO for sure
I'm actually not on TMO anymore so I'd be a new plan... I've had the Magenta 55+ I think it was 50 bucks a month..
Been a new plan would they TIV my older Iphone 11 on the new 13 if I'd switch from Visible on a good deal for the iphone 13, wonder how much I'd pay either directly at TMO or Bestbuy.. Last time I got an iPhone was with the Costco TIV.. End up getting a gift card and with the trade of an older 6s I ended up with the 11 for less than $200 on a straight purchase .. appreciated the input !
I tried to trade in store and the IMEI was clean/compatible, but because it was locked, made it ineligible for trade in.
